Automated Braiding Line for Structural Tube

With consistency and quality always key performance indicators, Gallagher was engaged by a tier-1 defense contractor to develop a manufacturing system for the composite structural tube used in a weapons system.

The product design was based on a fiberglass braid with epoxy resin. We designed and built an end-to-end manufacturing line with a series of braiders, wrappers and other custom machines that automate each step in the process.
